It's often said, pick your battles. Why tilt at windmills when you're only going to get blown away.
I guess Windsor and District Labour Council exec Gary Parent doesn't pay attention to conventional wisdom. To be honest, I'm glad he doesn't. His statements regarding the "Peace Beacon" demonstrate just how far organized labour in this city has strayed from what their members actually represent. The more Parent and the rest continue to bang the drum regardless, the more they slip into irrelevance.
As far as I'm concerned, for the sake of Windsor's future, it can't come soon enough.
